Reparenting the Inner Child: From Insight to Somatic Healing

Supporting Self-Healing Through Community and Therapy in Palm Beach and Virtually

The self-healing movement has helped millions better understand trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, and depression. Books and online education have given language to experiences that once felt confusing or isolating.

One of the most influential voices in this space is Dr. Nicole LePera, New York Times Best Selling Author and founder of the Self Healers Circle.

Her recent book, Reparenting the Inner Child, explores a theme that many people recognize immediately, which is the need to learn how to care for ourselves in ways we may not have experienced growing up.

But understanding this concept is only the beginning.

Why Reparenting Is More Than Insight

Many people can identify their inner child wounds. They can name patterns, triggers, and emotional responses.

And yet, they still feel:

  • Anxious

  • Overwhelmed

  • Emotionally reactive

  • Disconnected in relationships

This is because reparenting is not just cognitive — it is somatic.

It involves learning how to:

  • Stay present with difficult emotions

  • Regulate the nervous system

  • Create internal safety

  • Respond differently to stress and triggers

This is where deeper support becomes essential.

My Role in the Self-Healers Circle

I facilitate a monthly group within Dr. Nicole LePera’s Self Healers Circle, working with individuals from around the world who are actively engaged in self-healing.

In this space, we focus on:

  • Slowing down the healing process

  • Exploring nervous system responses

  • Practicing somatic awareness

  • Building regulation through co-regulation

  • Integrating the principles of reparenting in real time

Books can open awareness.
Community helps that awareness land.

Participation in the Self Healers Circle is separate from individual therapy services.

How Somatic Experiencing Supports Reparenting

Reparenting often requires more than insight — it requires a shift in how the body experiences safety.

Through Somatic Experiencing, we work with the nervous system directly to support trauma healing.

This includes:

  • Tracking sensations in the body

  • Increasing tolerance for emotional experience

  • Completing stress responses

  • Restoring a sense of agency and control

Rather than forcing change, the process is gradual, supportive, and grounded in the body.

This is especially important for individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, where nervous system dysregulation plays a central role.

Individual Therapy in Palm Beach and Virtually

In addition to facilitating the Self Healers Circle, I provide individual therapy for adults seeking deeper support in their healing process.

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety therapy

  • Depression therapy

  • Trauma treatment

  • Attachment-focused therapy

  • Somatic Experiencing

I offer:

• In-person therapy in Palm Beach County, Florida
• Virtual therapy for adults throughout Florida
• Virtual therapy for adults in Connecticut

Individual therapy allows for personalized pacing, deeper exploration, and nervous system stabilization beyond what group spaces can provide.

Coaching Support Across the United States

For individuals outside of Florida and Connecticut, I also provide somatic-informed coaching.

Coaching supports:

  • Personal growth

  • Nervous system awareness

  • Integration of self-healing work

  • Relationship patterns

Coaching is distinct from psychotherapy and does not replace mental health treatment, but can provide meaningful support for those seeking guided integration.

  • You are reading Reparenting the Inner Child and want support applying it
