Somatic Experiencing Therapy in Palm Beach Gardens, FL · Virtual Florida & Connecticut
Jennifer Goggin, LPC, LMHC, SEP
Because you deserve to feel safe, calm, and at home in your own body.
I'm Jennifer Goggin, LPC, LMHC, SEP, a licensed psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. I help adults who've done the personal work but still feel stuck in their bodies find real, lasting healing. In-person in Palm Beach Gardens and telehealth throughout Florida and Connecticut.
Life doesn't look the way you expected it to.
You've done the personal work. You've been to therapy, maybe more than once. You can name your patterns — why you shut down in the middle of conflict, why your inner critic won't quiet down no matter what you accomplish, why you keep overgiving even when you're completely depleted. You understand yourself. And yet something deeper still feels unresolved.
Here's the thing: healing isn't just about understanding why you feel the way you feel. It's about helping your body finally catch up to what your mind already knows. And that takes a different kind of approach.
Sound familiar?
When "doing all the right things" still doesn't bring relief
Many of my clients have read every self-help book on the market, have done the work, and still carry something they can't quite shake. They look put-together from the outside. Inside, the story is different.
Anxious or burned out — even when life looks "good" on paper. Maybe you just got the promotion, your partner says everything's fine, there's nothing technically wrong. But you're white-knuckling your way through the day and collapsing at night, wondering why you still can't just relax.
Disconnected from your body — no matter how many deep breaths you try. You might blank out in hard conversations, carry tension that never fully releases, or push through exhaustion because stopping doesn't feel like an option.
Stuck in patterns you can't think your way out of — the inner critic that turns every mistake into a referendum on your worth. The relationship where your needs keep disappearing. The way you say yes when every part of you is screaming no.
Spiritually curious, sensing there's more to healing than talking it out — but unsure where to find it.
Maybe you're also a mom — high-functioning on the outside, running on fumes on the inside, wondering how everyone else seems to be holding it together.
If any of this resonates, you're not broken. You're not doing it wrong. You're ready for a different kind of therapy, one that includes your body in the process.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Hi! I'm Jennifer Goggin, LPC, LMHC, SEP. I'm a licensed psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. You can call me Jen.
I work with high-achieving adults who are ready to go deeper than traditional talk therapy. Using Somatic Experiencing, trauma-informed psychotherapy, and an integrative lens, we work together with your nervous system to release what insight alone hasn't been able to shift.
When I say integrative, I mean that I don't believe any single framework holds the full truth about human suffering or healing. I draw from Somatic Experiencing, CBT, attachment theory, and neurobiology — and I'm also genuinely curious about the spiritual dimensions of healing. The places where nervous system science and meaning-making intersect. If you've ever felt like that part of you doesn't belong in a therapy room, it does here.
I'm licensed as an LMHC in Florida and an LPC in Connecticut, and I'm a fully credentialed Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) through SE International. I've been doing this work for over 20 years across psychotherapy, integrative coaching, and clinical leadership. It's not just my profession. It's my calling. And if something on this page made you feel seen, you're already in the right place.
THERAPY SERVICES FOR ADULTS IN PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL
how i can help
Anxiety Therapy
You know the feeling. The overthinking, the tension that won't let up, the exhaustion of being "on" all the time. If high-functioning anxiety has you looking fine on the outside but running on fumes inside, this work can help.
Trauma Therapy
Healing from trauma isn't about getting over it. It's about helping your nervous system find safety again. Whether it's childhood experiences, relational wounds, or chronic stress, we work with where trauma actually lives: in the body.
CBT Therapy
Sometimes the thought patterns are the place to start. CBT gives you evidence-based tools to identify and shift the thinking that fuels anxiety, depression, and self-criticism. I integrate it with somatic awareness for deeper, lasting change.
Somatic Experiencing
This is the foundation of everything I do. Somatic Experiencing works with your nervous system's own capacity to heal, gently resolving the survival responses that get stuck after trauma and stress. No retelling required.
Depression Therapy
It's more than sadness. It's the heaviness that makes everything feel like effort, the fog that dulls your motivation, the quiet withdrawal from the life you used to enjoy. If you've been going through the motions but feel disconnected from yourself, we can work together to help your system come back online.
HOW I WORK
I believe therapy should be simple.
Schedule a free, no-obligation consultation to see if we're a good fit. If we are, great! We'll schedule your first appointment and begin mapping out a path to your goals.
If not, no problem at all. I'll connect you with another talented therapist in my network who can help.
Step 1: Free Consultation CallShare what you're looking for and ask any questions. This is a chance for us to feel each other out before committing to anything.
Step 2: Your First SessionWe begin with where you are right now. I'll learn about your history, your goals, and what your nervous system needs to feel safe enough to start the work.
Step 3: Ongoing Collaborative WorkMy approach is practical, compassionate, and paced to your nervous system. We work together to release what's been held, build resilience, and create the kind of change that lasts.
SE VERSUS TALK THERAPY
What makes this different from talk therapy?
Talk therapy is powerful. It helps you understand your story, your patterns, and where they came from. But understanding doesn't always translate to feeling different — and if you've ever left a session with great insight and still felt anxious in your body an hour later, you know exactly what I mean.
Somatic Experiencing works with where trauma and stress actually live — in the nervous system, not just the narrative. Instead of talking about what happened, we work with what's happening in your body right now: the tension, the bracing, the shutdown, the activation that won't switch off.
Talk therapy helps you understand your story. SE helps your body finally feel safe enough to let it go.
Most of my clients have done both — and that's often exactly the right sequence.

Somatic Experiencing is a body-based therapy that helps release trauma and stress stored in the nervous system.
Instead of reliving painful memories, SE gently guides you to notice and shift the body's natural responses, like fight, flight, or freeze, so you can:
Feel calmer and more regulated
Heal without being retraumatized
Build emotional resilience from the inside out
Unlike EMDR, SE doesn't require revisiting specific memories. It works with sensations and body awareness, making it uniquely effective for people who've tried other therapies without lasting relief.
