Anxiety therapy

Find calm, clarity, and confidence within yourself in Palm Beach, Florida, Virtual Florida and Virtual Connecticut

You may look calm on the outside but feel constantly “on” inside — your mind racing, your body tense, your sleep light and restless. Hello, Anxiety!
Perhaps you’ve learned to hide it well — holding everything together for your family, work, or relationships — yet your system never seems to rest.

You might notice that you:

  • Feel easily overstimulated or irritable

  • Wake up already anxious or exhausted

  • Overthink, replay conversations, or worry about the future

  • Experience tightness in your chest, jaw, or stomach

  • Struggle to slow down even when you want to

  • Feel like your nervous system is running your life

If this sounds familiar, you’re not broken — your nervous system has simply been doing too much for too long.
Anxiety isn’t a flaw; it’s a sign your body is trying to stay safe — even when the threat is long past.

A Body-Based Approach to Anxiety Relief

More than just coping skills — real regulation from the inside out

HI!, I am Jennifer Goggin, LPC, LMHC, SEP- You can call me Jen—In my work as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Licensed Psychotherapist, I help you move beyond managing anxiety and start truly healing it.
Rather than focusing only on thoughts or behavior, we listen to the wisdom of the body — the heartbeat, breath, tension, and sensations that reveal where your system is stuck in over-activation.

Through this integrative process, you’ll learn how to:

  • Recognize early signals of stress before overwhelm takes hold

  • Re-train your nervous system to find balance and safety

  • Reconnect with your body as an ally, not an enemy

  • Build tolerance for calm and presence without losing focus

Somatic experiencing (SE)

Regulating anxiety through the body’s natural rhythms

Somatic Experiencing gently works with your body’s physiology to release stored stress and calm the fight-flight response.
By learning to notice subtle physical cues — like breath, muscle tone, or tingling — you begin to guide your body back toward ease and groundedness.

Clients often describe feeling:

  • Relief from chronic tension or hypervigilance

  • More energy yet deeper rest

  • Increased ability to pause before reacting

  • A new sense of inner safety and trust

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Shifting anxious thoughts and building emotional flexibility

Anxiety often brings looping thoughts — What if…?, Did I say the wrong thing?, Something bad will happen.
Through CBT, we explore and reframe these thought patterns, helping you separate facts from fears.

You’ll learn to:

  • Challenge catastrophic thinking

  • Replace “what-ifs” with grounded awareness

  • Build confidence in your ability to handle uncertainty

  • Develop practical tools for managing triggers

Combined with somatic awareness, CBT creates balance — your mind and body begin to work together instead of against each other.

Inner Child & Parts Work

Healing the roots of worry and over-responsibility

Many high-functioning adults who struggle with anxiety once learned to be hyper-vigilant children — scanning for danger, reading others’ moods, striving to be “good.”

Through Inner Child and Subpersonality Work, we gently reconnect with the younger parts that still feel they have to control everything to stay safe.
You’ll learn to:

  • Offer comfort to your inner protector

  • Release perfectionistic pressure

  • Develop self-soothing and boundaries

  • Feel peace even when things aren’t perfect

As these parts soften, anxiety loses its grip — replaced by calm confidence and authentic presence.

Motivational Interviewing & Strength-Based Work

Empowering you to move from fear to trust

When anxiety makes you doubt yourself, motivation and self-trust can fade.
Through a collaborative, strength-based process, I help you reconnect with your resilience and natural capacity to handle life’s challenges.

Together we’ll:

  • Identify what truly matters to you

  • Clarify goals aligned with your values

  • Build self-belief through small, sustainable steps

  • Replace avoidance with curiosity and courage

You don’t need to “push through” anxiety — you’ll learn to work with it, understanding its message and guiding it toward calm action.

What Healing from Anxiety Feels Like

Results clients often experience

Over time, clients notice:

  • Less physical tension and fewer panic symptoms

  • Improved focus, sleep, and mood regulation

  • Freedom from constant overthinking

  • A stronger sense of control and safety

  • More ease in relationships and decision-making

Healing isn’t about eliminating anxiety completely — it’s about regaining your ability to choose calm, presence, and joy.
